It was one of my great pleasures to meet Mr. Lane after the Ron Wood Austin Music Hall show in 1992. My friend Paul & I waited, & after most of the musicians had left, Mr. Lane came out of the building being pushed in his wheelchair by his wife. I asked if he would autograph "A Nod..." lp, and he said sure. I asked where the cover had been shot, & to my surprise he said Texas (either Dallas or Houston, he wasn't sure - turns out it was at the Sam Houston Coliseum). I remember his wife smiling while 2 big music fans talked about the Faces with her husband. A very special moment in my life. Thanks, Mr. & Mrs. Lane! |

Ronnie Lane possessed charm and charisma unmatched by anyone in the music business. Unlike 99% of the music ever written, Ronnie's songs are moving. It's too bad his life ended early but he certainly packed alot of living in those years. Feel free to drop me an email if you have any stories you'd like to share. |

Just bought a copy of "Rough Mix" from my local used record store. Don't know how I missed it first time around. Brilliant stuff. Loved the Small Faces and Faces, "Debris" is in top 20 all-time records. They don't make them like that anymore. RIP, Ronnie. |

Spent the evening looking at the Passing Show documentary. Cried again. I just love Ronnie's solo work but I have been a fan of Ronnie's since 1966 when I was just ten years old. I love the Faces, they were the soundtrack to my teenage years. My first bassguitar was a Harmony bass, just like Plonk's first. Oh, great spirit. Love from Nyke. |

I listen to Ronnie's music more now then ever in my life. His music really connects to something inside me. Loved the passing show dvd, absolutely fabulous!
Out of all musicians that I wish I could have met and known in my life, Ronnie is at the top of that list.
His music will live forever ! |
