Hi folks! My knowledge of web sites and the like is very limited, but my 9 yr old daughter has located this fab Ronnie Lane Web Site for me, in an effort to bring her old mum into the 21st century. Anyway, I just want to say that I had the very great pleasure of seeing dear Ronnie play at various locations in London during the 70's. He was just fabulous. His music has and will stand the test of time. Listening to his music transports me -not to a 'Little piece of Nothing' but to a little piece of heaven! Peace to you all and to Ronnie whose legacy lives on in his music. |

I was lucky enough to see Slim Chance several times at the Stadium in Liverpool and Southport Theatre.
My one regret was not going to see the Passing Show in Chester.
Last Saturday I went to Bridgnorth (Shopshire) with my wife, on the way back, I went to have a look at Fishpool.
A very emotional experience, sad because Ronnie is no longer here, but also inspiring because of what he left behind.
I didn't have time to find the Drum & Monkey, but will return there soon to raise a glass in memory of Ronnie. |

I drummed for Ronnie with Charlie,Brian, John and dear Stu during a summer tour in 1977, supporting Eric's band and, was one of the most enjoyable gigs I've had. Ronnie was a lovely guy, a genuine friend and every night, onstage, his voice warmed my heart. Bless you, Ronnie.

Long time big fan, is there anyone out there who went to the "Drum & Monkey" to see Ronnie plus Guests 1976ish, when he lived in Fishpools, what a special night that will forever be in my memory. |

Though I have known Faces, just recently found about Ronnie Lane's music. Thanks to Internet I can see his music was great. But I should confess I became impressed upon his passing away, despite it ocurred ten years ago. Artists like Ronnie should never die. They are so special that could not go before us.
Congratulations to those who make efforts to keep his memories alive.
Greetings! |

I had the chance to meet Ronnie just before his passing.
I was drumming on a project with his music collaborator and good friend Andy. Ronnie was a delightfull person and I regret not knowing him longer. What an inspiration he would have been to myself and anyone else associated. Ronnie is laid to rest only several hundred yards from my house, and I will see him on this Thanksgiving Day when I walk my dog.
Peace my friend,
Johnny. |

Great to have the chance to say how much Ronnie is missed. Such a catalogue of beautiful music he left behind. Music that can make you laugh and cry. My favourite has to be Done This One Before, what a melody and words to match.
God bless Ronnie and those he left behind!
America really doesnt know what it is missing. |
