I remember having the oppertunity to
meet & visit with Ronnie & his loving
wife. This was in 1991 in Austin tx of course!
I had a friend who worked at a music store in Austin (I believe it was Music Makers) Who was fairly close to Ronnie
(friends name is Dan)
Well Like I said I met Ronnie on several
occasionas.
m
I did not know until a few years ago he was gone.
I just wanted to say that Ronnie was such a kind & cordial man to meet(Ronnies Wife was as well very gracias And a friendly host as well)
& a Great sense of humor.
I only wish now I had taken some photos for memories. When I drive by Ronnies old house on montopolis (the house is still there). It always brings back warm memories |

The Passing Show is a great movie! I live in Finland and I am able to watch the Swedish TV too. In the spring of 1975 the Swedisn National TV broadcasted a live concert by Ronnie Lane And The Slim Chace. It was a great show! I hope that some day that rare TV show would be released on a DVD record. I believe that this concert can be found in the archives on the TV company. Anyone knows more? |

Ronnie, you have laid the track for that rock and roll train that just keeps on coming! Thanks for playing from the gut and inspiring so many players like me. |

About three years back I got my original rough Mix going again for about the first time in 10 years really made me smile.
Then a few months back I heard Mick Hucknell (Simp;ly Red dude) saying how he really rated Ronnies singing on the Radio and it reminded me how much I rated Ronnies singing and musical style.
It's great to have these constants in life to rely upon. |
